News

To all our students and clients.

Amid the concerns around the Coronavirus, Progressive Driving School would like to provide you with an update on our response to date and our commitment to the health, safety and well-being of our employees and students.

We are following the Canadian Public Health authorities advice and protocols. We are committed to providing a safe environment both in-vehicle and classroom. I want to assure our clients that we are taking every precaution necessary within our resources.

The Public Health Agency has assessed the current health risk associated with coronavirus as low, we will continue to monitor the situation on a day to day, week to week basis.

We have implemented measures to ensure your safety as well as the safety of our staff and other tenents with whom we share the building.

We have enhanced cleaning protocols in our classroom, office and shared washrooms. Especially focusing on high traffic and high contact areas.

Coronaviruses are easily eliminated by routine surface cleaning and careful hygiene by ALL who use these facilities. The cleaning products used in our rented building (Unifor) are industrial-grade, along with Progressive Driving School providing anti-bacterial soap, paper towels and hand sanitizers (if required) for our students and staff. The in-car hygene is also very important to both the students and instructors. To this effect we have always used Lysol wipes or similar products before and after each students lessons regardless of the present situation.

Communications and reminders (both verbal and written) with our students and employees on important health and safety measures and are always factored in, especially in close encounters.

To protect yourself and others, we ask that anyone who is feeling unwell refrain from attending a classroom session or an in-car driving lesson (giving as much notice as possible) so that together we can ensure a safe experience for all concerned.
We will continue to monitor this situation closely and will provide ongoing updates as needed. We also encourage all our clents to keep up-to-dated by visiting the Public Health websites (see below).
